After the White House tour, we went to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. We had lots of fun at this museum. We saw fossils of several extinct animals like the dinosaurs and woolly mammoths, touched shells, saw a very big fish tank, and watched educational videos. We say the Hope Diamond- Yay!! I am proud to know that the Hope Diamond was excavated from Kollur mine in Andhra Pradesh, India- the state where both of my parents are from!
On the 3rd day we went to the Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial, and Washington Monument. Lincoln was smaller than I expected :( The Korean War Memorial is a big water fountain and we saw duck swimming around in the water. We went to the tippy top of the Washington Monument. It was amazing to see the city of Washington DC from the top of the Washington Monument- everything looked tiny.
On Monday, we took the tour of the Capitol building. Unfortunately, Bullet couldn't join us in the galleries of the Senate and the House :( On the last day of our visit to Washington, DC we went to the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court.
